Adoptable Dogs
At Basset Hound Rescue League, we have deserving dogs that have been rescued, and possibly been nursed back to health, available for adoption. Take a few minutes to check out the dogs currently up for adoption, then get in touch with us to move the adoption process forward. All dogs come with complete vet visits to include vaccines, spay/neutering, special care, and sometimes training. Foster homes are provided with payment for all expenses associated with fostering.

LOU - Pending adoption!
LOU is a wonderful, active, handsome and intelligent companion who will make a great friend and pet. He is housetrained and chipped, 5 yrs old and up-to-date on shots. Lou is friendly and loving and gets along well with other animals. He loves doggie daycare and the interaction with other dogs and adult people. Lou loves the outside and long walks but loves snuggling and adult companionship. Lou needs a large area to run and play. Is learning quickly in training. If continued training is desired, BHRL will assist with cost. An adult home would be best. Submit your application form today.

If you're looking for a walking companion or a best friend for your current fur baby, look no further. Archie is a 2-year-old hound mix, weighing approximately 40 pounds. He is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, neutered, potty trained and walks pretty good on a leash. He is eager to learn and loves his belly and paw rubbed. Archie is a social pup and very dog friendly. He was the shelter's dog tester. He is good with kids and adults. He can scale a 3 1/2 foot fence, so he needs to be walked or you must have a 4 foot or higher fence. He is a very active dog and needs an active family to care for him. He could be an only pup too, but would likely do better with a companion. He has been around small dogs as well as large dogs without a problem. Cats are unknown. If you're interested in this handsome guy, please fill out an application. He is currently in Virginia with his foster parents, but transportation can be arranged to his furever home.
LINCOLN - NEW**
Lincoln is a well-mannered and gentle soul with a heart of gold and a quiet, loyal nature. He is a friendly dog with a lot of love to give and is always eager to please. Lincoln is a delight to be around and would make a wonderful companion. He is a medium-sized, adult dog, He is a healthy dog who is all cleared by the vet. MOLLY ~ ADOPTED!!
MOLLY is a one-year-old hound dog mix, that is wonderfully loving and snuggly, playful and energetic, and truly so much fun! She is curious and totally food motivated, and learns so quickly when treats are involved. She loves to puppy play with other dogs and run and wrestle at the dog park with others. She is a water dog, loves the
beach, and will happily jump into any puddle deep enough to splash in. She is 100% friendly to every person and dog she has ever met, she has never bitten anyone or any dog, and is a total family dog with care and love towards children. She loves to be petted and cuddled, and will be your new best friend. She loves nothing more than chasing squirrels or rabbits, has a booming bark for a little pooch, and has amazing recall from across the dog park when whistled for. She is a wonderful dog that truly needs exercise and play daily and has tons of love to give!
Up to date on vaccines, spayed, 52 lbs, HW negative.
